Collecting Eggs
For egg collections, we use a setup that matches the egg laying habit of each species. We provide a shallow bowl of peat moss or sand to peat spawning annuals, a tall cup of peat moss for peat-diver annuals, floating or sinking mops that mimic plants for non-annuals, and a mixture of both for semi-annuals.

Using a bowl of peat moss or fine sand as a spawning medium for annual Peat Spawners. (Nothobranchius korthausae Yellow shown.)
For annual Peat Divers, use a deep spawning medium (in a container or not) so that they can dive completely into it. (Simpsonicthys Picturatus shown.)

Eggs could go bad especially if they are not properly fertilized. The fungi of them may spread and kill the good eggs. Remove and discard bad eggs immediately.

Storing Eggs
The incubation time is species specific. It ranges from 10 days to several months. For non-annual eggs with a short incubation time, store them in water from the aquarium and let them hatch in their containers. I use Styrofoam cups, as follows.

For annual eggs with a long incubation time, put them in peat moss that is moist but not wet. Sample the eggs when their incubation time is almost up. If you can see their eyes well developed inside their soft transparent shells, put them (with the peat moss) in water for the hatching.
Selling Eggs
Buy a few times from sellers with high ratings. Try to beat them in terms of picture quality, packaging, and service. I managed to sell at higher prices than competitors every time by doing just that. However, do not compete directly with the buyers that you bought the eggs from if he has the same species on sale. Personally, I think that is not ethical.
